A former village grocery and café has been transformed into a charming guest house. It’s in Charente, near Angoulême, in the charming village of Vénat which still retains its precious rural heritage from the previous century. The Épicerie de Vénat invites visitors to enjoy a simpler, more authentic time in its uniquely vintage atmosphere. Enjoy a taste of time gone by in one of the guest house’s three rooms. In the morning, come down to the former village café for a breakfast of organic products made locally, plus excellent home-made jams – made with Cognac!
There is even a small collection of toys from the 1960’s for children to play with. For older visitors, table football offers a moment of fun for family and friends.
