Try your hand at being a Michelin-starred chef for a day. You’ll start by selecting your products and then cooking them… before enjoying them with the Chef at La Ribaudière, the first restaurant in Charente to receive a Michelin star.
On the agenda
- 09:00: coffee and/or orange juice at la Ribaudiere, where you will be given a souvenir apron by the chef. • 09:15: truffle hunting with Thierry Verrat with his dog “Ips” in Jarnac. Learn all about how a truffle patch is tended;
- 10:15: discover fish farming in Gensac. Next, discover a variety of products including young and aged caviar;
- 11:00: back to la Ribaudiere and chef school:
– To start, you will taste two grades of caviar (2x10g per person), paired with an iced white Cognac;
– Next, cook the truffles you selected, and pair them with old Cognac (10g per person);
– After the tasting, you will cook the signature “drunken blue lobster”, with guidance by Thierry or Julien Verrat;
– The tasting will end with a chocolate and Cognac tart on salted butter pastry.
