This tour was created in 1990, and in 2020 won the Grand Prix at the Terre de Vins Wine Tourism Awards in the “Innovations and creative initiatives” category.
The Oak Tour is an experience for visitors, allowing them to discover the entire Cognac creation process through the people who make it happen, meeting a host of passionate professionals.
Starting from the Jarnac Tourist Office, you will first discover the woodworking industry and see a demonstration of each step of the barrel-making process.
Next, explore Charente-style double distillation and the production and ageing of Cognac with a professional distiller. The visit concludes with a tasting.
