Formerly a trading house, the Hôtel Chais Monnet & Spa, located in the heart of the city, has been completely redesigned to blend historical heritage with contemporary elegance.
Stemming from the impressive industrial heritage of Jean-Gabriel Monnet’s former wine cellars, built in the 19th century, the Hôtel Chais Monnet & Spa embodies a new way of experiencing luxury in Cognac. Nestled between the charm of the town and the gentle vineyards, this five-star establishment stands out for its unusual architecture, a bold fusion of historic structures and contemporary design.
The hotel offers 92 rooms and suites, the Michelin-starred restaurant Les Foudres, the contemporary brasserie La Distillerie, Bar 1838 and its rooftop terrace, the Monnet art gallery, as well as a spa and wellness area, fitness room, hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
The large spaces, preserved in their industrial spirit, are enhanced by a subtle and refined play of light, where exceptional lighting fixtures enhance the atmosphere, combining warmth and elegance.
