For more than 250 years, Maison Hennessy has been producing one-of-a-kind cognacs in the heart of its native Charente region in France. Created in 1765, the Hennessy brand was born of the vision of one man, Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer enlisted in Louis XV’s army who very quickly foresaw the extraordinary international commercial potential of Cognac’s eaux-de-vie and set up his own wine merchant business.
